Just a reminder that the night fly / Pot Luck dinner is this friday, May 18th.
We have a couple people signed up for the pot luck dinner. Dinner will start between 6-6:30. Even if you don’t sign up, bring a covered dish to share and come one out!
Right now the forecast looks pretty good, should be a great time.
Even if you don’t want to fly after dark, it should be light enough to get some flights in before dark. And should be good fun after dark watching everyone.

Just a reminder that this saturday, May 12th, is our first hot dog lunch of the season.
The club will provide the hotdogs, be sure to bring your own drink. Weekend forecast looks likes it will be a great day, hope to see everyone there!

Got this email from the Clarksburg club this morning:
“The Clarksburg Model Aviation Club would like to invite your membership to our field for flying and hot dogs on the 22nd of April. Nothing formal, just an opportunity for us to get together. We’ll provide all the food. You guys bring the good weather and your planes. We’ll start about 2pm and go until dark.”
I need to provide a rough head count to them by the 16th of the month. If you would like to attend please let me know by then.

On saturday April 21st we will be doing some work at the field. We need to cut down the growth at the end of the runway, so saws and clippers will be useful. We also need to get the canopies up for the summer.
Lets get started at 10am. If we can get a group of people working on both we should be able to get it all knocked out before lunch, or sooner.

Spring Fairmont Flyers meeting:
We will be holding our spring meeting on April 1st, 2012 at 1pm at the Field. Dues are due and will be collected at this meeting. Please remember to bring your current 2012 AMA card to the meeting. Dues are $50.

A form will be provided at the meeting on April 1 so that you can verify that your email address (and other information) that the club has is correct.

The January 15th. election meeting will be held at the High Gate Carriage House, 830 Walnut St. Fairmont. The meeting is at 1:00 PM.
There will be door prizes and show and tell.

Tuesday evening, August 2nd., the MidAtlantic AeroSpace high school workshop is returning to our field with a smaller group (about 10). Same as last week, we need trainers, flight sims and demo flyers. I’ll be there!

The Mid Atlantic AeroSpace high school summer camp is July 26th. at 6:30 at the field. The club is supplying trainers w/buddy boxes, flight sims and demos. This could be a large group and we need all the help we can get at the field that evening!
